Brothers and sisters in fitness,
To say we’ve dealt with significant upheaval this year is the understatement of the century. Personally and professionally, many of us have been put through the wringer, dried out, and put through again. Hopefully you’ve been able to find some semblance of solace as 2020 comes to a close.
For me, the holidays look different this time around. Fewer family members in town means fewer laughs and fewer stories. Fewer visitations with friends means fewer traditions upheld. Christmas shopping and galavanting and celebrating wearing a stuffy mask was an enormous bummer. And that’s putting it mildly.
Thankfully a world-wide pandemic wasn’t enough to stop Santa Claus from making his yearly rounds.
But in spite of 2020’s madness, in spite of all the disruption, there is still much to be thankful for. I sit here today, of sound mind and body, enjoying another day on God’s green Earth. I sit here today, with my closest family, thinking fondly of those who couldn’t be here and those who’ve departed this world. I sit here today, belly full, feet warm, with nary a want in the world.
How enormously lucky I am.
It is my sincere hope you feel the same way about your life. And if you’re not quite there yet, I’ll be here for you every step of the way.
May you have a merry Christmas and a blessed holiday season.
