You’re not there yet, and you desperately want to be. I get it. The vision you have for yourself is clear. You see the path forward. But walking the path is taking longer than you’d like.
It always does though, right? We don’t commit ourselves to something one day and reap its rewards the next. That’s not how this works.
The universe tests our resolve by putting obstacles in our way, the greatest of which being time. Time for us to demonstrate our commitment, our spirit, our intention. Time for us to prove our pursuit worthwhile. After all, if you don’t move heaven and earth to get there, did you really want it in the first place?
Wisdom comes from learnings along the way. The easy wins as well as the tough lessons. The great people as well as the shitty ones. The mistakes. The failures. The triumphs. The successes. Don’t deprive yourself of these twists in the road. Take Route 66 instead of the interstate.
Patience is at the root of everything. Patience doesn’t steal time, it gives time. It grants access into the journey, into the quest, into the adventure. Patience firmly plants you in the present moment. In a world so fast patience is our best chance against time’s vengeance.
Keep working. Keep trying. Keep fighting the good fight, whatever that fight may be, on however many fronts the battle rages. But be patient. Understand that everything good comes with time. It’s not the answer we always want, but it’s the answer nonetheless.
Everything in life comes with a cost. For most of us its time. Stick with it. Be patient.
Your results are coming.
My effort is too frequently detached from my patience. Thanks for reminding me they are inseparable for reaching a successful outcome.
This is solid encouragement in challenging times. Thanks!
