Thanks for the great article. I will add my personal trainer saved my life undoing what arthritis and I had done to myself. Sure, maybe I could follow your advice on my own, but she was invaluable to me in explaining and correcting my movements etc, as well as throwing off mega positive vibes.

Sometimes we need others' help in getting where we want to go. I've used personal trainers sparingly over the years and they've certainly helped shape who I am today, in the gym and out.

Thanks Grady. Great article. And I shared it on Twitter. This sentence in your article rings so true : “Movement and exercise outperform any pharmaceutical drug on the market in terms of preventing disease, curing depression, and increasing longevity.”

I did static stretches for nearly 15 years before my runs. Still suffered multiple injuries and a constant feeling of fatigue and tightness in my legs. I started dynamic stretching and voila! Runs are so much more enjoyable now. Thanks for spreading the good word, Scott!

I had a similar experience Mikaela. With dynamic stretching my hamstrings have never been happier.

Thanks Scott for your article. I am 55 and have enjoyed physical activity since childhood. Another myth is that fitness and physical activity for enjoyment is for the young. There’s no better way than physical activity and fitness to feel good in one’s skin.
